To attend:
  • Fill out the Registration Form
  • Submit Payment – $25 per attending scout (@pack351springhill on Venmo, via Square invoice, or in person at the September pack meeting)
  • Make sure everyone’s Health Forms have been updated (anyone that comes to camp must have a form on file – NOT just the scout)

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can we bring our pets? NO. There are no pets allowed at Boxwell.
  • Do we have to camp overnight? No! You can attend for just the day portion on Saturday. We do ask that you arrive around 8:00 am (time subject to change) to participate in the opening ceremonies on Saturday.
  • Can we bring our camper? No. You can only do tent camping at Boxwell.
  • We’ve never camped before and don’t have a tent. What do we do? Many families have more than one tent. Ask around your den or in our Facebook group to see if you can borrow one for your first camping adventure.
  • What clothes should we bring? Class B T-shirts should be worn on Saturday. Otherwise, comfortable and weather appropriate clothing. Bring extra shoes, as it might be muddy and we often camp next to the lake.
  • Will we have access to bathrooms/showers/electricity? Yes! Our usual campsite is next to a bathhouse with lots of bathrooms, showers and we will have access to electricity if you need for medical equipment. We do recommend bringing a charging brick or plan to charge your phones in your cars.
  • I’m scared to camp! Should I still come? Yes! We will have such a great group of families that have camped in the past and will have lots of helping hands to make it an enjoyable experience. It’s one of the easiest points of entry into camping.
  • Can I bring siblings, grandparents, etc? Yes! We just need a health form for anyone on the property.
  • We may need to leave and come back due to some other obligations. Will we be able to come and go? Yes and no. Once you’re parked in the camp area, you will not be able to drive in and out to keep the kids at camp safe. There is a parking area further out where you can come and go, it’s just a bit of a walk, so plan accordingly.

2024 Pinewood Derby Results

We had a WONDERFUL time at our first ever GLOW derby! We learned a lot and have some great ideas on how to improve for the coming years! We had a total of 98 racers this year! Incredible!!

This was our first year trying a digital format for brackets that we can project on the screen and have links to share. Thank you for your patience as we figure out the best way to utilize this and make it even better for next year!

Popcorn Sales Help Needed!

We are actively looking to add some families to our popcorn sales team! This commitment is from August 26 – October 1 with very little needed!

If you are able to fill one of these roles, please let us know ASAP by filling out the contact form below. Even if you can only help in distribution once during the sale, it will make huge difference!

  • Popcorn Storage – If someone has garage space or access to a storage unit to hold our popcorn for the month of September, we would LOVE the help!
  • Popcorn Sales Kit Assembly – Help us fill the kits up and get them ready for the weekend sale. This can be any night of your choice Monday – Thursday!
  • Popcorn Sales Kit Distribution – on Fridays we are going to ask the families that are setting up to pick up their popcorn and other items needed for the sale. We need a couple volunteers to help with checking these out to the families.

Spring Hill Christmas Parade

Hi Families!

The Spring Hill Christmas Parade will be this Saturday, December 10th.

We will be doing final build/assembly on the float Saturday morning at 10am at Laura Green’s Home (address is in your email or in our Facebook group). There is still a lot of work to complete the build. Thank you for the couple of families that have been working very hard to make this float a success. Laura has put in countless hours to make sure we have a great float. Please help in making sure it’s completed in time! Bring any extra Christmas lights you may have. We need to light it up!

Plan on arriving at 4pm. Parade Line up is through Evans park and up to Spring Hill Elementary. Parking details are described below. The parade float order is first come, first serve, so you will need to find the Pack’s Float in the line up (See map below).  We will post in the Facebook Group where to find the float once it’s settled in the line up. We have a 80’s Video game theme with Rubix cubes and other fun game things!

Lions and Tigers should plan on RIDING the float. If we have room, we will allow Wolves to ride as well. Older scouts should be prepared to walk the route. All those riding in the float must keep arms and legs inside the float. No dangling feet over the sides. This is specifically requested by the Spring Hill Police Department to keep all parade attendees safe.

Class A uniforms should be worn. Wear appropriate outerwear for the weather.

This parade is a rain or shine event. Unless it’s icy or storming, it will go on. Use your best judgement for your family on weather and your participation.

For more generic parade details, visit the Kiwanis website: https://springhillkiwanis.org/2022ParadeInfo

Information on Parking:

A parking pass is required for official parade parking areas. This is attached to this email. We will not be able to provide paper copies, so plan on printing your own, or having a friend print for you if you do not have a printer. It does not have to be in color. Black and white will be accepted. Print your parking pass here.

Float lineup will begin at 3pm – no earlier. You will enter from Beechcroft onto Toone Prados. Parking for parade participants will be along the parade lineup area behind Spring Hill Elementary School. Parents/guardians will be able to access the front field of Spring Hill Elementary from Main Street or the larger parking area from Beechcroft. We are limiting access to these areas for the safety of all participants and volunteers and to make picking up walkers and children easier for parents/guardians. Spring Hill Police will be directing everyone in this area to exit directly onto Main Street after the road is open after the parade. There will be no exit at Beechcroft.

We look forward to having a rocking good time with you!
