Activities

Pack 351 is a coed civic group for students in grades K – 5.

What is the general schedule / time requirement?

We have two different types of meetings each month:

  • Den Meetings – 1-3 Tuesdays per month – These are small group style meetings with 6-10 scouts in the same grade level. They work on adventures together covering subjects of personal responsibility, civic service, faith, and more. These happen 1-3 Tuesday evenings per month and that schedule is set by individual den leaders.
  • Pack Meetings – 1 Tuesday per month – This is a full school assembly style meeting for scouts and parents alike. This is when scouts receive their awards for their adventures. We will also have activities, guest speakers and more during these meetings.
What extra activities are there?
  • Camping – We camp approximately 2-3 times annually. In October, we participate in the Middle Tn Cub n Family campout at the Boxwell Scout Reservation. We also have a pack campout in the spring and again in the summertime. Dates and locations shift on these campouts a bit based on schedules.
  • Pack Hikes – Once a month, we have an optional hike available for families to participate in. These are usually within an hour drive of Spring Hill and are typically appropriate for all scouting levels.
  • Service Opportunities – Our pack is actively expanding our service opportunities for our scouts. We always participate in the Scouting for Food drive in February and place flags for Memorial Day. We regularly retire flags for the community and have participated in street and trail clean up projects around the area.
  • Spring Hill Christmas Parade – Our pack participates in the annual Spring Hill Christmas parade! Get your creative hats on and help us build a fun float for the upcoming year!
  • Pinewood Derby / Raingutter Regatta – These two activities allow scouts to build a car/boat and race them against scouts in their age group.
  • Other Activities & Adventures – in September we participate in the National BSA popcorn sales. This raises the majority of our funds to operate our program each year. It is strongly encouraged for every scout to participate to help out with these costs. Our pack ranked #7 in the country in popcorn sales in 2022. Through these sales, we have a variety of activities available to be earned through the sales. In the past we have been able to rent out the trampoline park, adventure on the CLIMB tower, go bowling, and an overnight campout at the Nashville Zoo!
